Over this last weekend, I decided that I wanted to get an ethernet cord in my room. In my basement, I had the router, some extra long ethernet wire, some connectors,a crimper, a drill, saw, and a wall jack. I needed to bring the ethernet cord from the router downstairs to my attic, and then drop the cord down the wall from the attic to my room. I started off by attaching the ethernet cord to a string that lead to my attic. I pulled the string up to my attic and unattached it. I now had the ethernet cord going from my basement to my attic. The next thing i had to do was find out where the wall to my room was. I had my dad make noise in my room while i found it. I found the wall and drilled a hole through the insulation and the top of the wall. I dropped the cord down the wall and went down to my room which was below the attic.
